Ford Rules Extended Radius Arms Installation Ford Rules

First, you will need a drill, drimel tool, hammer, and a punch.
To take Radius Arms off, I removed the brake calipers, shocks, front coils, and
bolts that hold I beam, radius arms, and the coils.
Take the nuts and bushings off from radius arms.
Do not hang the calipers with brake line, use a wire to hang them.
At this point, I was able to remove stock radius arms.

Just like I beam brackets (actually rivets on radius arm brackets were bigger...),
radius arm bracket is secured with 4 rivets and 4 nuts.
I used drimel cutting wheels to cut cross on rivets, so I can drill straight.
Or you can use a sander to take the head of rivets; this is much easier
and faster than using a drill.
I drilled the rivets about half way then used a hammer and a punch to take them off.
Make sure you don't have fuel line or brake lines behind the rivets.
Remove 4 nuts and bolts; radius arm bracket might fall on you so be careful.
Now, I installed Camburg Extended Radius Arms on I beam to find out where to mount
radius arm brackets. I marked the center with a punch.
I drilled 4 holes using the bracket as a guide.
Do the same on the other side.
Take a look at the pic on the far right.
The body mount bolt is in the way when I drilled out a rivet.
I could not drill straight; I could have removed the bolt, but
they were so tight.

Also, when I try to put the calipers back on, I had a problem.
The brake lines were not long enough; in my case, I bent the pipe a little with my hand
so I can take it to the brake shop and replace with longer lines.

Since I added two 1/4 inch spacers under the front coils,
I have to get longer 3/4 inch bolts that hold coils.
Reassemble the front end.
I also needed longer shocks. I got Rancho 5000s from 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers.

It took about 8 - 9 hours to complete. I was working under very hot condition(100 degree).
It should take less if it wasn't so hot......finally, I got about 3 inch lift total.
